“The work of disrupting starts with us because external change cannot happen without internal shifts.”
— Kamilah Drummond-Forrester, Founder and Principal Consultant
I am a speaker, educational consultant and workshop presenter. I provide strategic expertise on topics of transformative social and emotional learning (tSEL), anti-racism, educational equity, and workplace and community wellness.
The lens I bring to this work is informed by my professional journey within the SEL, social justice and mindfulness fields as well as my personal experiences as a Black woman, mother, and first generation American.
I am on a path of continued learning and bring that vulnerability, openness and empathy to each engagement.
Vision for this Work
I believe in a human-centered approach and centering decision-making that considers the individuals/groups most affected by change management.
I strive to create an environment from start to finish where all can be seen, heard and valued.
I seek to listen actively and then engage in a collaborative, iterative process where I can support my clients in meaningful ways.
I am committed to creating impact that helps my clients go beyond implementing the practices we’ve worked on to actually living the work.
Personal Values
My approach is client centered with an emphasis on collaboration and bridge building.
My communication style is straight forward, honest and transparent.
My work integrates personal reflection and story telling as essential components to the change process.
